Syllabus (or programme)
Participative lectures which cover the following syllabus:
-Languages systems as dynamic systems of signs. The concept of “linguistic variation”: geolect, sociolect and langue style.
-Methodology and techniques for the study of linguistic variation.
-Classification and distribution of the geographical varieties of Spanish.
-The so-called primary dialects of Spanish: Leonese and Aragonese.
-Judaeo-Spanish.
-Northern Spanish. Regional varieties. Spanish in bilingual regions.
-The dialects of Extremadura and Murcia.
-The dialect of Andalusia.
-The Spanish language in the Canary Islands.
-The Spanish language in America.
